Preconstruction
During the preconstruction phase, our team analyzes how individual components may react to environmental factors and engineers a cladding system that not only addresses these factors, but also how the materials surrounding the cladding system will respond. Criteria related to performance, seismic, and wind loading between the adjacent systems is evaluated, along with differential movement between materials, proper joint design, and loading/connection interface. A properly engineered building skin is not only critical to the long term performance and serviceability of the structure, but it can also enhance the building's aesthetic qualities.
Fabrication
Panel systems can positively the following constraints:

Schedule: Panels can be fabricated while the building superstructure is being constructed. The building skin can then be installed in large sections, dramatically reducing the installation time required.

Quality: Panels can be engineered to incorporate weep systems and other project specifications. Also, off-site assembly allows adherence to KEPCO+'s rigid quality control program and strict inspection schedule.

Budget: Panel systems reduce both the amount of time required for installation and the manpower requirements, resulting in a lower field labor cost.
Installation
KEPCO+'s field crews can provide handset, panelized, or combined installation methods. If panelization is selected for a project, each custom panel has a specific location on the building, so when received, KEPCO+'s field crews erect the panel to its exact location and make sure all panels are aligned properly. Final welding then occurs, and the weep and gutter systems are completed. Lastly, the panel to panel joints are caulked.
